The mysterious greatness of Don Giovanni, ossia Il dissoluto punito by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart opens the Opera Season of the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi under conductor Arthur Fagen, on Friday, October 17, and Sunday, October 19.
At this theater, which since 1798 has boasted an unbroken operatic tradition, Don Giovanni has been performed only three times before — in 1988, 2006, and 2014. This new production directed by Paul-Émile Fourny, is a co-production of Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini di Jesi, Teatro Marrucino di Chieti, Opéra-Théâtre de l’Eurométropole de Metz, Neue Oper Freiburg.
Arthur Fagen conducts Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, one of the most frequently staged operas worldwide, at the North Carolina Opera’s Raleigh Memorial Auditorium
This new production has become the best-selling production in the organization's history, setting a new ticket sales record since the company was founded. Performances on January 30 at 7:30 p.m. and February 1 at 2 p.m. at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. INFO
