Arthur Fagen conducts Parsifal and soon after flies to London to record with three major orchestras in the UK: London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic and Philharmonia Orchestra
In Indiana University’s Bicentennial year, the top ranked IUJacobs School of Music, Opera, Ballet and Theater will stage the monumentalwork of Richard Wagner “Parsifal”, after a 43-year absence from Bloomington.Arthur Fagen conducts this epic Christopher Alexander’s new production.Featured in the excellent cast are tenor Chris Lysack, bass-baritones MarkDelavan and Mark Schnaible, bass Kristinn Sigmundsson and mezzo-soprano RenéeTatum.

On November 19 begin Mr. Fagen’s recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios in London with pianist Tedd Joselson and the London Symphony Orchestra. The centrepiece is a new piano concerto by Manu Martin, Fantasy of Companionship, based on Susan Lim’s concepts of future human and Artificial Intelligence relationships. The recording will also feature piano concertos by Grieg and Rachmaninov with Joselson and the London Philharmonic and Philharmonia Orchestra. The recording is scheduled for release in 2020.
