OCTOBER 2009

Oct 15, 2009

Arthur Fagen conducted the Orchester Musikkollegium Winterthur, the oldest Orchestra in Switzerland, conducted in the past by Hermann Scherchen and Wilhelm Furtwängler and connected with composers like Richard Strauss, Igor Stravinsky and Anton Webern. Mr. Fagen performed the second version – rarely performed – of Mendelssohn’s Symphony n. 4 (Italian), edited in 1833/1834, and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto Op. 64, joined by soloist Sergej Krilov, as well as a première of Sommernachts-(tag)-Traum by Swiss composer Rolf Urs Ringger. The critics have been very enthusiastic ( please see reviews ).
