Mr. Fagen returned to South America last month to conduct for the second time this year the Orquesta Filarmonica de Bogota performing works by Elgar, Liadoff and Prokofiev. Soon after Mr. Fagen appeared at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival conducting the NDR Radiophilharmonie Orchestra in an homage to jazz clarinetist Benny Goodman with soloists Sabine and Wolfgang Meyer. The first week of September he has been invited to lead the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento on the last concert of the Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano.
